BABY OLIVER | AUBURN NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER

Oh Oliver. Isn’t that the most darling name for a sweet newborn baby boy?! So perfect. I had the opportunity to capture baby Oliver while he was still all snug as a bug in his momma’s tummy, as well as in his sweet, fleeting moments as a tiny newborn. I LOVE when this happens! I loved getting to know his momma and daddy before his arrival, and talk about the pregnancy, his nursery, and feelings of excitement.  It made it that much sweeter getting the text that Oliver was on his way, and of course, meeting him for the first time.

This little boy rocked his session, I don’t think he made a noise! He was so laid back and content, and oh so loved! I always love watching the way parents look adoringly at their precious newborn baby. The way they talk about how this tiny little person has changed their lives for the better, and hearing them describe that momentous first breathe their baby takes. I loved hearing Oliver’s birth story, and seeing the pure joy he brings to his family.

I always suggest to my clients to bring in sentimental pieces to photograph their newborn in. I had many special pieces to work with for Oliver’s newborn shoot – gorgeous handmade blankets from his two grandmothers, a Seahawks jersey, the largest Starbucks mug I have ever seen, and my favorite, Breve the family dog. You can’t forget your fur babies! They are family too! It was SO hard to keep these images under wraps until his momma and daddy got to see them first. But it was worth the wait. See for yourself!

Introducing Oliver!

Chelsey Grant

Before picking up my first camera, I went to school and received my bachelor’s degree in elementary education. I have always loved the little ones and was fortunate to stay home with my babies when they were born. I think my kids inspired me to get behind the lens and document as much of their youth as I could. I know it is cliché to say, but it really does go by fast! I know how much their photos mean to me, and I had a longing to share my passion and talent with my community. It is so rewarding being able to capture timeless images of the special moments in the lives of others. I was born and raised in Washington state, which has given me a love for the landscape, colors and textures I grew up with. I love to photograph beautiful earth tone palettes and incorporating nature to create a simple, organic feel, all while keeping your family the main focus. Since moving to Arizona in 2020, I have been absolutely inspired by the environment of my new home and the varying types of light we get here! I am thrilled to explore and use our beautiful surroundings to create art of your loved ones that you will cherish for years to come.
