Edit
After the shoot, I'll go through all the photos we took and select the best ones for editing. I'll carefully retouch each image to ensure they look their absolute best while still maintaining their natural beauty.
Deliver
I'll deliver your photos digitally, so you can relive the memories over and over again. You'll be able to share them with your friends and family and print them to your heart's content. Get ready to show off your photos!

Not only does it provide a familiar and relaxed environment for your baby, resulting in happier photos, but it’s also convenient since you don’t have to worry about transporting all of your baby’s belongings to a studio. Plus, right after the cake smash, your baby can take a bath and have a well-deserved nap. With a home cake smash session, you can have a stress-free and fun way to capture those adorable and memorable moments of your little one.
Behind the Scenes From Start to Finish
As a cake smash photographer, I love capturing the joy and messiness of this milestone moment. Before the session, I’ll work with you to choose a theme and color scheme that fits your baby’s personality and style. On the day of the session, I’ll arrive at your home with all the necessary equipment, including backdrops, props, and of course, a delicious cake for your little one to smash if you choose to purchase the cake through my cake smash partner!
I’ll set up the scene in a designated area of your home, and help you dress your baby in a cute outfit that matches the theme. Once we’re ready, it’s time for the fun to begin! I’ll encourage your baby to play with the cake and make a mess, capturing all the adorable expressions and reactions along the way. And when the session is over, I’ll take care of all the cleanup, leaving your home as tidy as it was before.
It’s a fun and memorable experience for everyone involved, and I always feel grateful to be a part of it.

A milestone session is a photography session that captures your child’s developmental milestones, such as sitting up or standing. It is typically done when your child is around 6-9 months old.
A cake smash session is a photography session that celebrates your child’s first birthday. At the end of the session, your child gets to enjoy a cake and make a mess while I capture the moment. My photography style is minimal, neutral, and simple, but I welcome your input on color choices. If there is something specific you would like to include in the session, such as a handmade blanket, heirloom items, sports memorabilia, or military/law enforcement items, please let me know in advance so that I can prepare for it. I always do my best to incorporate special items into the session to make it truly unique and personalized.
Unfortunately, these types of sessions are for your little one only, as the amount of time and prop types allotted for cake smashes or milestone sessions are just enough to cover your little one’s photos. A family session would be a great option to capture everyone together!
Absolutely! If you have a special outfit or prop that you would like to use in the session, please let me know ahead of time so I can plan accordingly. I have a partner who offers a discount and can create a beautiful and healthy cake for your baby’s first birthday, and other ideas if should you choose to make your own or buy at the store.
Milestone and cake smash sessions can take place either in your home or at an outdoor location, depending on your preference. If you choose to do in your home, I will bring everything needed to create a studio experience.
I will provide a sneak peek of an edited photo within a few days after the session, and the full gallery of edited photos will be available within 2-3 weeks after the session.
It’s best to book your child’s milestone session a few months in advance, and the cake smash session should be scheduled at least a few weeks before your child’s first birthday. That way you can have photos taken near or one your child’s milestone, or in advance in order to have photos edited and returned before their birthday.
