Location is key to capturing beautiful photos. Check out these ideas for natural outdoor settings, urban backdrops, and unique locations to inspire your next photo session.

Veteran's Oasis - Chandler

This location is very versatile, offering several looks in one spot. It offers a citrus orchard, treed pathways, a creek, lake and cactus.

 

Mesa Rose Garden - Mesa

Located at Mesa Community College, this location is in bloom from mid-March thru June. It still offers large shady trees and vegetation year-round.

Usery Mountain - Mesa

Beautiful desert vibes with many large Saguaro cacti and a beautiful mountain backdrop. This location requires a Tonto Day Pass, or you can pay $8 per car at the entrance.

San Tan Mtn - Queen Creek

Located in Queen Creek, San Tan Mountain Regional Park offers a beautiful desert backdrop, especially at sunset! You will need a Maricopa Parks & Rec pass for parking, or pay $7 per car onsite.

Riparian Preserve - Gilbert

This location provides lots of green bushes and trees that arch over pathways, a creek, and a beautiful lake for photos at sunset.

 

Water Users - Tonto Basin

Water Users, located off of Bush Hwy offers a stunning rocky backdrop along the Salt River as well as smooth river rock ground to add texture to photos. 

 

Phon D Sutton - Mesa

The Phon D Sutton location allows you to get down close to the Salt River’s edge for photos, fun boulders, and desert cacti all around with beautiful hills in the background. This spot requires Tonto Day Pass to park or pay $8 per car onsite.

Downtown Gilbert

Downtown Gilbert, located on Gilbert Road, has a lot of murals to photograph in front of, as well as a variety of buildings with different textures and colors if you want to go with an urban feel for your photos.

Papago Park - Phoenix

Papago Park has a fun lake with palm trees surrounding it, rugged red rocky mountain formations, and a desert vibe all around.

Downtown Chandler

If you want an urban feel for your session, Downtown Chandler provides many murals, glass buildings, metal walls, and parking garages for photos, all within walking distance. 

Coon Bluff - Mesa

At Coon Bluff, you will find not only the Salt River, but a unique rock wall, and pathways surrounded by Mesquite trees.

 

Queen Creek Wash

This location is a close option to pretty treed paths that can flower depending on the time of year. It is a beautiful, whimsical spot that provides a lot of shade without compromising sunlight.

Phoenix Botanical Garden

Located in Phoenix, near Papago Park, you will find this location has beautifully maintained desert vegetation, tall cacti and succulent gardens, and unique sculptures and fountains. There is a $25/person entry fee here.

Boyce Thompson Arboretum

Located in Globe, this location is further away but has a wide variety of looks, including tall white-barked trees, a river, desert landscapes, a glass nursery, and several treed or flower-arched pathways. There will be a $50 travel fee for this location, as well as an entry fee of $19/person.

Scorpion Gulch - Phoenix

Scorpion Gulch, near South Mountain is in Phoenix, photographs well due to its variety of looks with the abandoned rock building there. Nearby, you will find desert landscaping too.

Lifestyle In-Home

Looking for a lifestyle session done in the comfort of your home? We can do that! We also can rent a studio space that has a bright and airy room to mimic a home if you prefer for an additional fee of $60 

Saguaro Lake - Mesa

Saguaro Lake offers a dramatic hillside, treed pathways under Mesquite trees, and beautiful lake views with large hills in the background.

Wildflowers - Queen Creek

This spot is very seasonal and short-lived depending on the year and weather conditions. If we are lucky to have the wildflowers, this spot is very conveniently located in Queen Creek and absolutely stunning usually  March through April months.

Many neighborhoods, maybe even including yours, provide nice park-type settings and flowers that are maintained year-round.
