This little sweetheart was such a patient baby! She didn’t mind me moving her around between poses, being nakie buns, or taking photos in a crate next to a bouquet of flowers. I had so much fun capturing the little faces she made while sleeping, and all her squishy newness only a newborn could have. It always amazes me when my clients return for their viewing, or if I am lucky enough, get to visit during a play-date, just how fast those little newborn features change. It seems like their faces become rounder, their legs get chunkier and longer and their double chin fills in overnight! It makes me feel very happy to be able to give the gift of living a moment more than once to my clients. I know when I look at photos of my kids, especially when they were itty bitty newborns, I am overwhelmed with feelings of surprise and excitement to see how big they’ve gotten in a seemingly short amount of time, and a touch of sadness that they are as big as they are. I know every parent knows this feeling.
I happen to be good friends with little Eva’s parents, her mommy and I grew up together in the Buckley area. It was wonderful documenting the beginning of their family. In fact, we met up in the outskirts of Enumclaw and Auburn at sunrise to capture Eva’s parent’s maternity session. Being able to do this for Meg and Tyler was such a gift for me to give to them. And being able to watch little Eva grow is even better! But before we race forward into time too fast, let’s enjoy her photos now from her session. Introducing baby Eva!
